FAQ | Camp WoodWings

Age groups

How old do I have to be to join the WoodWings camp?
  • Groms (13 - 16)

In order to attend the Groms camps, a minimum age of 13 (in the year of participation) is requiered. Those all-in camps offer a fully customized program for all ages between 13 and 16 years. Do not forget the approval form signed by your parents!

  • Youngsters (16 - 18)

For the Youngsters camps, you must be 16 years old at the moment when you arrive on the camp. Our camp program is adapted to this age. Thus, for instance, is it possible on a 16+ camp to drink a beer or smoke since the law allows it. We are responsible for our participants and therefore we can hardly allow -16 year-olds on a camp with 16+ rules.

  • Grown-ups (18+)

For the Grown-ups camps, you must be 18 years old at the moment when you arrive on the camp.

  • Mix camp (13 - 18)

Since the summer of 2017, we offer a mix camp for the 13-16 and 16-18 age groups. Since this formula never causes any issues on longboard freerides and events - it even adds a familiar atmosphere to the event's vibe -, we had to take the demand of friend groups for a mixed ages camp into consideration. But keep in mind: if you are younger than 16 years, of course the same rules of the Groms camp will apply to you.

Is there an age limit for the camp?
  • Groms (13 - 16)

The Groms camps are organized for kids in between 13 and 16 years. In fact there is no real age limit for this camp. If you turn 17 in the year of your camp, you can still join this camp. But keep in mind that all rules of this Groms camp will apply to you.

  • Youngsters (16 - 18)

The Youngsters camps are organized for campers from 16 up to and including 18 years.

  • Grown-ups (18+)

Of course there is no age limit for those camps. You are as young as you feel! The oldest participant thus far is - hold on - 48 years old! "Age is just a number"

I'm younger than 16 years, but I would like to join the Youngsters camp. Is that possible?

For the Youngsters and Grown-ups camps, you must be 16 years old at the moment when you arrive on the camp. Our camp program is adapted to this age. Thus, for instance, is it possible on a 16+ camp to drink a beer or smoke since the law allows it. We are responsible for our participants and therefore we hardly can allow - 16-year-olds on a camp with 16+ rules.

When all your friends are going to this camp, we might make an exception for you. But this exception can only be made in close dialogue with your parents. Therefore ask your parents to get in contact with us.

I'm 16 years or older, but I would like to attend the Groms camp. Is that possible?

Yes, that's no problem. If you are older than 16 and your friends will be attending the Groms camp, you can still register for this camp. Book your preferred week and send us an email to info@campwoodwings.com and tell us that you're older than 16.

We will keep your age in mind but remember that most of the camp rules will apply to you.
